What is Annual Percentage Rate (APR)?
The Consumer Credit Act 1974 requires companies that advertise loans or credit cards to state what the APR rate is. This enables customers to compare rates and to see the true rate of interest repayment over the full year.
For example if the interest is 1.5% per month, then APR is the equivalent rate over a year, which is 19.56%.
What is the Grace Period (Free Period)?
The grace period allows you to avoid paying a finance charge by paying your current balance in full before the
"due date" shown on your statement. Many credit card companies offer a grace period, but not all do. If there is
no grace period, a finance charge will be imposed on each purchase from the day it is posted to your account.
What is the transaction fee for cash advances?
Any charge imposed when you use the card for a cash advance. If the card charges transaction fees for purchases, these fees will also be stated here.
